Middle School Ministry - EDGE

Middle School can be one of the most confusing times in a younger adolescent's life. This is the time of their development when they begin to question what they've been taught - these young people want to know, learn, and grow in their understanding of themselves and their relationship with God. Middle School Faith Formation attempts to walk with these young people in their faith journey and address their questions and concerns in a safe environment.

Middle School Faith Formation (EDGE) runs in conjunction with the Volusia County academic calendar year, from September until May. Classes are on Thursday evenings, from 7-9PM.  It includes Middle School Youth Ministry, which seeks to give young people the opportunity to experience our faith in different ways.

EDGE Middle School Ministry is an opportunity for younger adolescents to learn about what they believe and who they are, in a fun and safe environment.  Youth Ministry allows our families to connect and engage with our parish family at St. Ann's; a chance for young people to make new friends with similar values, to learn about themselves, and discover the richness and beauty of our shared Catholic faith. Middle School Youth Ministry focuses on developing teens' relationships with God and others, helping them to see where God is active in their lives, and it is a setting that allows them to ask questions and respond in faith.

St. Ann's Youth Ministry is for all young people, ages 11-18, and spans middle school and high school youth.

All of the activities that we participate in help give us value, a sense of belonging, and form us into the people we are.

• Youth Ministry is a vital part of that formation--walking with our young people on their faith journey and supporting their families in their attempt to raise happy, healthy, faithful Catholic young adults.
